Along with all services, I preform preventative maintenance on all pianos to ensure the piano remains as close as can be to its original, healthy state.
Tuning
I use both my ear and an electronic device for accuracy and efficiency. All tunings come with a 1 month guarantee.

Pitch Correction
Recommended for a piano that hasn’t been tuned in a long time. A pitch correction (raise) is a pre-tensioning of the strings before it is fine tuned.

There are over 9,000 moving parts on a piano. Through time, some of these parts break or become sluggish for various reasons.

Rebuild/Restoration
If your piano is beyond repair and needs to be rebuilt, the next step is determining the sentimental and/or monetary value. Although costly and timely, a rebuild can bring your piano back to life.

Evaluation/Consult
If you are looking to acquire a piano but are unsure of the condition, I will be happy to evaluate the piano. All money paid for the evaluation goes towards any repairs that would be needed.

Detailed Cleaning
From removing dust and webs from the inside of an old upright to detailing your grand to showroom standards, I take pride in a clean piano inside and out.

Regulation
Through time, the hammer felts along with other felt and cloth get packed down. As well as the warping of wooden parts. Regulation helps all of the mechanisms of the piano work properly and smooth.

Watkins Piano Services is currently not moving pianos. I can, however get you in touch with some great guys who are experienced piano movers.
